How to create a Frequently bought together Amazon campaign?

Step 1: Set Up a Campaign

Use this campaign to showcase frequently bought together products on your product page. You can display them in an Amazon-style layout.

To get started:

  • Click “Frequently Bought Together (Amazon)” option.

  • Then click on Create campaign button.

  • Provide a campaign name. This will not be visible on the storefront.

Step 2: Trigger product types

Select how you want to determine where your campaign will be shown on product pages.

  • All products – The campaign will appear on every product page across your store.

  • Specific products – The campaign will only be visible on the product pages you manually select.

  • Specific tags – The campaign will show on all product pages that include any of the selected tags.

Example: Product pages with tags like “Black t-shirt,” “t-shirt,” or “black.”

Step 3: Offer products

Select the specific products you want to display in the campaign.

Step 4: Other optional settings

Provide a campaign title for custom text. Otherwise, default text from the widget settings will apply.

Campaign Priority

If a trigger product is linked to multiple add-on campaigns, you can assign a priority value to control which campaign is shown. A higher number indicates a higher priority.

Example:

  • Campaign 1: Applies to all hoodies with the tag “Hoodies” (Priority: 1)

  • Campaign 2: Applies to the specific product “VelocityX Monochrome Hoodie”, which also has the “Hoodies” tag but a different set of offer products (Priority: 2)

In this case, when a customer purchases the VelocityX Monochrome HoodieCampaign 2 will be displayed because it has the higher priority. For any other hoodie, Campaign 1 will be shown.

Randomize Offer Product Order

By default, offer products are displayed in the same order they were added in the app. Enable this option to shuffle the order of products each time the campaign is displayed.

 

Step 5: Adding the app block to the theme

After creating and saving your "Frequently Bought Together" campaign in the BoostUp app, you need to manually add the widget to your product page template.

  1. From your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

  2. Find your current theme and click the Edit theme button.

  3. At the top of the theme editor, use the dropdown menu to navigate to Products > Your desired product.

  4. On the left-hand sidebar, under the "Product information" section, click + Add block.

  5. Scroll down to the "Apps" section and select the FBT Amazon block.

  6. Drag and drop the block to your desired position. We recommend placing it below the product information section.

  7. Click Save in the top right corner.

Now, you can visit a trigger product page on your live store to see the campaign in action.

For Older Themes (non-2.0)

If your theme does not support app blocks in the editor, the widget must be installed by editing the theme code. This process is technical. We highly recommend you contact our customer support team for free setup assistance, and we will be happy to install it for you.

Step 6: Customize the Widget

  • From your app's dashboard, click on the Customize option.

  • Find the "Frequently bought together" card and click the Edit Widget button.

  • A new settings page will load. You will see a series of accordion tabs (e.g., "Title," "Price," "Borders," etc.).

  • Click on any accordion tab to expand it and view the specific settings for that part of the widget.

  • Adjust the options to match your store's branding. You can customize settings such as:

    • Title Color

    • Price Color

    • Border Width

    • Border Radius

    • ...and other available style options.

  • After you have finished making all your changes, click the Save Settings button to make your new design live.
