Cart Upsell/Downsell (Popup) Campaign

The Cart Upsell/Downsell (Popup) campaign allows you to display an additional product offer right after a customer clicks the “Checkout” button. Depending on whether the customer accepts or declines this offer, you can present another upsell or downsell product accordingly.

Key Features:

  • Trigger an upsell popup when the Checkout button is clicked.

  • The popup clearly showcases product images and descriptions, making the offer more appealing.

  • Display up to three product recommendations, shown sequentially to the customer.

Where does the widget show up?

The widget is displayed after a customer clicks the “Checkout” button in cart drawer or in cart page.

Example Use Cases

Imagine a clothing store where a customer adds a t-shirt to their cart. You could suggest a pair of matching sunglasses that complements the outfit.

Depending on whether the customer accepts or skips the sunglasses offer, you can then display additional offers — such as a stylish chain as an upsell or a more affordable pair of sunglasses as a down-sell.

Key Points to Remember

  • This campaign displays one product at a time, and since it appears as a pop-up, it gains strong visibility on your store.

  • You can include a custom product description to make the upsell offer more appealing and encourage customers to add the product.

  • Multiple offer stages are completely optional — you can add extra upsells or downsells only if you want to.

  • Customers have full control — they can choose to accept, skip, or select the products shown in the offer.
